In 麻花天美星空果冻乌鸦鈥檚 Writing, Literature and Publishing (WLP) Department, the symbiotic relationship among writing, publishing, and the study of literature becomes a shared experience of developing one鈥檚 style, refining one鈥檚 talent, and gaining the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today鈥檚 evolving literary landscape.
Our students gain a deep practical and theoretical knowledge of the writer鈥檚 art, literary history, and the workings of the publishing industry, as well as a strong foundation in the liberal arts鈥攖he tools and training needed for a life devoted to literary pursuits.
About the Department
Housed in the School of the Arts, the WLP Department offers undergraduate programs in Creative Writing and Writing, Literature and Publishing; graduate programs in Creative Writing, Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing, and Publishing and Writing; and an online certificate program in Digital Content Management.
Current Emerson WLP undergraduates interested in obtaining a master鈥檚 degree in one year can apply for admission to our 4+1 Publishing and Writing program.
WLP faculty include award-winning authors, poets, and scholars鈥攁s well as successful publishing industry professionals鈥攚ho are dedicated to helping students create publishable works of fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, and gain the skills needed to pursue a career in the book, magazine, or electronic publishing industry. Outside of the classroom, students gain valuable experience through participation in that publish magazines and literary magazines.
